Labor Day Shirts

For years now, we’ve been asking the management to raise our salary. To be honest with it, what they’re giving us is not enough anymore. Prices are ski-high and we can barely afford our necessities. This labor day, our union will do make a point with customized promotional t-shirts.

Early this year, the company sent an email about the available non-working holidays for the whole year. To our great surprise, we learned that we have to go to work on Labor Day. The moment we knew about it, we decided to come up a form of a protest with customized promotional long sleeve t-shirts. We had our contributions already, and we’re good to go.

What the bosses sent us was like adding insult to injury. They are forcing us to go to work despite the fact that we are getting paid a trifle amount. Those shirts should somehow ease the pain, knowing that we will get the message across.

All of us will use the customized promotional short sleeve t-shirts on Labor Day. On the shirts, we will make prints of our concerns and clamors, especially the salary increase and more benefits. More than that, we will tell them that we also have rights that must be respected.

We have no choice but to go to work that day. We have mouths to feed, and homes to maintain. I sincerely hope the political t-shirt that I will be wearing would show the glaring needs that all of us long for.
